ABOUT ME

I am an Austin artist and have been a commercial interior designer for over 25 years. I enjoy the detail and technical aspects of my job and find they carry over into my paintings and ideas. There is a balance, order and repetitive nature to my painting --- which can be very therapeutic to create.

While watching a film or tv show, I find beauty in the shapes and colors in the bokeh background. The more I create, the more I see there’s a painting in everyday views.

I am extremely sentimental and nostalgic. Many of my concepts begin with a connection to something I hold dear. It could be family, places I’ve been, a song I love or a feeling I experienced when staring out at sparkling light on a body of water. I hope that the subject connects with you.
